About the role
The Area Administration Assistant role is a dynamic one where you will be supporting our Stanthorpe region on a daily basis. The Area Administration Assistant is instrumental in supporting all staff in the area by providing administrative and secretarial support and takes day-to-day direction and task allocation from the Area Manager and the Administration Manager.
Tasks and duties will include, but are not limited to:
Welcoming guests to the office
First point of contact for all staff within the region and external contractors
Maintenance of office equipment and supplies
Onboarding of new staff
Recruitment support – Managing onsite interviews, verification of documents, submissions of relevant checks and interview reminder correspondence
Compliance reports which include but are not limited to LCS (Licence Care Service Check), Blue Cards, First Aid/CPR, Drivers Licence and Qualifications
Liaising with various government departments regarding checks and their progress
Scanning and emailing training paperwork and documentation
Organising catering for team meetings and training
Property Management including lease and maintenance requests
Damage Maintenace Reports (DMR's)
Vehicle Management
Opening/closing of residential placements
Purchasing of furniture for houses
Preparing work orders and job IDs for property maintenance
Experience using ELMO, Sharepoint and Microsoft Suite
About you
You will have life experience, patience, empathy, a great sense of humour, and resilience. You'll be the type of person who can easily build rapport with others within your regional team. Your initiative and proactive approach will be highly valued in your day-to-day work. You'll also need to have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and its affiliated apps, Windows 10, and the ability to work autonomously. Experience in human resource processes is desirable.

Desired Skills and Experience
You will need the following
QLD P2 or Open driver's license
Hold a minimum Certificate III or higher in Business Administration or similar discipline
Demonstrated experience in a similar Administration role
Current QLD Blue Card or willingness to obtain
Ability to complete short courses to be able to work within QLD child protection (this will be supported by us)
Current Licenced Care Service (LCS) check through The Department; or willingness to obtain (this will be supported by us)
